Susan Kim
Susan is a highly experienced commercial, intellectual property and technology lawyer with over 20 years of big law firm and in-house experience providing a broad range of transactional and advisory services, with a focus on the development, acquisition, commercialization, distribution and licensing of all forms of technology, content, data and other intellectual property.
Susan was an Associate General Counsel at S&P Global Inc. where she handled commercial and transactional matters, and she structured, drafted and negotiated myriad IP, technology, licensing and commercial transactions, including exchange and index operation agreements. Previously she was Senior Counsel at Bloomberg L.P. where she handled IP, technology licensing and other commercial agreements and took part in developing various commercial policies.
Prior to that, she practiced law in the law firms Morrison Forester and Pillsbury. Her clients have ranged from large public and private companies and institutions to venture-backed startups operating in a variety of industries, including financial services, technology, information, media, entertainment, manufacturing and hospitality.
Susan holds a WSET Level 3 Advanced Wine Certification and enjoys curating wine events and experiences for friends and clients. In addition, she is a certified yoga teacher and credits her long-standing yoga practice as a key reason for her personal and professional happiness and success.
